The Odet river
The Odet river, whose mouth lies between Bénodet and Sainte-Marine, is a magnificent ria that rises in the Black Mountains and then passes through the center of Quimper. On the Bénodet side, you’ll find a marina with a lovely view over the neighboring port of Sainte-Marine. The “ Vedettes de L’ Odet” company offers a trip up the Odet. Le Letty – La Mer Blanche
The mer blanche, a lagoon protected by a sandbank, is bounded by Bénodet ‘s residential district “Le Letty” to the west and by Mousterlin to the east. Several small rivers flow into the mer blanche, which is linked to the ocean by theanse du Groasguen.
Bénodet Marina
The pleasant port of Bénodet, located on the Odet river, has a lot of charm, with a view not of the Atlantic but of one of France’s most beautiful rivers and of Sainte-Marine,one of the most beautiful villages in South Finistère.
