Fouesnant-Les-Glénan is a very large commune, between land and sea. From Cap-Coz to Mousterlin, via Beg-Meil, Fouesnant boasts a wide variety of beaches, from long stretches to small coves. Cap-Coz
The Cap-Coz sand spit protects the port of Port-La-Forêt and the Penfoulic cove. Its stretch of sand at the head of Concarneau Bay makes it a very pleasant family beach for swimming and fishing at low tide.Penfoulic cove is home to many unusual birds and magnificent flora and fauna.
Beg-Meil
Beg-Meil: La pointe du Moulin in Breton. The pointe de Beg-Meil, opposite the pointe de Trévignon, marks the entrance to Concarneau Bay. Its mill has been replaced by the semaphore. This very active semaphore is responsible for safeguarding and defending the sea and airspace. Beg-Meil has a number of pretty, rather confidential coves that can be explored along the coastal path or by kayak. You can also discover some beautiful villas along the GR 34.
Mousterlin
The Pointe de Mousterlin, a barrier beach facing the sea, is a protected site. Situated between the pointe de Beg-Meil and the mer blanche of Bénodet, this part of Fouesnant is famous for its beaches, marshes and the “Polder de Mousterlin”.
Downtown
Fouesnant’s town center, just a few kilometers from the beaches, is a pleasant place to stroll around. You’ll find a number of artisanal stores.
