Campsite – La Forêt-Fouesnant – Port-La Forêt – 10 kms – South Brittany

La Forêt Fouesnant borders our Concarneau campsite. This commune is renowned for its large marina.

The marina

Located at the head of Concarneau Bay, Port-La-Forêt is one of Brittany’s largest ports. Some of the world’s greatest sailors train here: François Gabart, Samantha Davies, Michel Desjoyeaux, Armel Le Cléac’h, Jean Le Cam… You’ll also find Imocas, the 60-foot yachts that sail around the world.

Beaches and the GR34

The coastal path also runs alongside the commune of La Forêt-Fouesnant. It’s a very pleasant walk, taking in the Saint-Laurent cove, Kerléven beach, the marina and the Cornouaille golf course overlooking the Penfoulic cove.

The markets

In La Forêt-Fouesnant you will find fish ponds where you can buy your mussels, oysters, shellfish and crustaceans directly.

Sunday morning: Place de la Baie from 8am
Tuesday evening (in July and August): night market Esplanade de Port-La-Forêt from 6pm

The golf course

The Cornouaille golf courseThe Cornouaille golf course, on the edge of the bay of La Forêt-Fouesnant, is an 18-hole course designed by Fred and Martin Hawtree. Its exceptional location and friendly clubhouse make it a favorite among golfers in the west of France.

Camping la Forêt Fouesnant

For top-of-the-range camping near La Forêt Fouesnantyou’ll find Le Cabellou Plage campsite. Access to La Forêt Fouesnant and Port la Forêt from the campsite is very quick, as we’re only 10 km away. You’ll be there in less than 15 minutes by car.
