La pointe du Cabellou
This hike is accessible to all, and ideal for families. Over a distance of 3.2 km, you’ll discover the famous Pointe du Cabellou, a haven of peace cradled by the sea spray. On this hike, you’ll stroll through lush vegetation with the blue of the ocean in the background.
On this short 45-minute hike, you’ll discover some of the region’s heritage treasures, including the 18th-century fort built on the headland and the Sainte-Fiacre chapel. You’ll also have the chance to enjoy a magnificent panorama of the key town of Concarneau.
The Douaniers trail
The sentier des Douaniers, a stage of the GR34, is surely one of the most beautiful hikes in Concarneau’s immediate vicinity. This 23.5 km hike follows the Breton coast from Fouesnant to Concarneau, overlooking the sea, rocks and indented beaches. However, this hike is best suited to good walkers, as it lasts around 5 hours 45 minutes.
During this beautiful hike, you’ll enjoy splendid views of the ocean and the Glénan Islands, discover picturesque little coves and even watch birds. However, beware of high tides, which can make some passages impassable.

The banks of the Moros
This hike starts just outside Concarneau, in the village of Beuzec-Conq, and takes you away from the ocean to discover the banks of the Moros, the river on the estuary where Concarneau is located. During this easy 1h45 walk, you’ll explore theMoros pond, the Moros manor house built in the 15th century, and the Haie bread oven, which comes back to life every year during the local fête. What’s more, this hike is a peaceful one, immersing you in a setting that’s a world away from the ocean.
Pendruc and Pouldohan
South of Concarneau, this 5.8 km, 1h20 hike invites you to discover thePouldohan cove. To do so, you’ll have to follow a short coastal path, which will reveal a host of pretty little coves. You can even take a dip at one of the beaches along the way. On the way back, don’t miss the superb Pointe de la Jument and its cliffs covered with a soft carpet of vegetation.
